I am an artist that writes. I've never cared to fit into anyone else's idea of who I should be. I look the way I look ~ I feel the way I feel ~ I think the way I think ~ I love the way I love. I am a whole complex soulful creature. Take me as I am or leave me. Accept me or walk away.

I have a wild imagination and I'm not afraid to use it. I am clear that while I am in this world, I am not of it. I dive down the rabbit hole and jump through the looking glass often and am not afraid to change my mind about anything and everything.

I love writing. It is one of the highest forms of art in showing the how and why of human life. It requires a deep and precise understanding of the biggest and most complex subject there is ~ and, then requires translating this understanding into a story. It is a noble goal and one that is a monumental task.

Every story is fueled by desire. And, desire in all its forms is what makes the world go round. It is what gives all of us direction in our life. A story tracks what a character wants, what he'll do to get it, and what costs he'll have to pay along the way. And, as obstacles appear, he is forced to change. The struggle makes him change.

The focal point of every story is the moment of change ~ when a person breaks free of weaknesses and habits and ghosts from his past and transforms into a richer fuller self. We respond to great stories because we all have the desire to become a better version of ourselves.

Human nature fascinates me. This is why I write.
